Two couples to dinner at the farm: Magnum. Has been aging in the cellar for a couple of years.Fresh and creamy texture although not as complex as I had expected/hoped for.

Light gold color. From Magnum, drank 2 glasses over 1.5 hours. Opened this for POTP. This was showing awfullywell tonight. Nicely toasted, full-bodied, good definition, lemon, orange zest, chalk.

My first 241 and from Magnum. Lovely nose giving a slightly aged profile from the reserves. Solid with some energy and really enjoyable, but in that background noise sort of way. No real electricity or something that makes you take notice
For a upper mid range NV it’s good and would be one I’d happily buy again - and have done.

Nick A's Pomerol Part 2 (67 Pall Mall, London): Creamy lemon and lime posset. Some freshly planed ginger and little tonic water on the nose. Palate is very detailed. Lime oil, chewy, chalky. Cracking

Nick's Pomerol Part II (67 Pall Mall, London): En magnum. Slightly sweet whiff on the nose with elderflower and white fruit with the tell tale Roederer toast which is nicely done as ever. Seemed slightly short on the midpalate but decent all the same. From Zalto Champagne.

Pomerol, part 2 (67 Pall Mall): Magnum. Bright and lifted compared to the Larmandier-Bernier that preceded it, and a lot more classic/MOR in style. Vaguely floral, green and grippy with a limey, quininey bitterness. Irreproachable in terms of balance, but needed a bit more of an 'edge' to be truly exciting.

Light gold color. From Magnum, drank several glasses over 3 hours. Opened this for my family on Father's Day. This hit the spot on a sultry day. Yeasty, sour lemon, ginger, orange peel and spiced bitters, chalk, full bodied. Quite good, doesn't have the elegance of the 242 at this point.

Served from jero at the 67PM summer party. This was in the zone with enough aged fruit and brioche and still a cut of acidity and smooth bubbles. 93

This is so reliably excellent. Fully, rich, but full of life and all nicely balanced.

From magnum. Very young in this format. Bracing acidity and very 1 dimensional at this stage.

Very fun Champagne made from blend of supposedly 241 vintages. French toast and pear on the nose. Fine bubbles and tongue drying acidity.
