Straight up blueberry and cassis. Not exactly what I’d expected, but it’s rather good and an easy drinker. I reckon it’ll show a bit more character with a bit of age.

Showing the ripeness of the vintage but everything is also in balance. There are classic Northern Rhone olive notes on the nose to compliment the ripe fruit. The palate is lush and smooth. This is just a baby and will drink well for at least 15 years. Enjoyable wine.

Superbe CDR !

Initially out of the bottle, PnP, it was a tad reluctant on the nose and very tight and bright on the palate. When ordering it, I had told the waitress to bring a carafe and I was right. This needs air.
robe - Quite dark and purple - beautiful nose - A bit shy at first, this started to open up with bright and dark cherries, some dried herbs and perhaps a little olive brine. palate - coming from 2020, this is showing some really nice balance. The first sip surely was a bit sharp and acidic but this soon mellowed in the glass and in the decanter. Over lunch, this slowly bloomed into dark and sour cherries , notes of licorice and someone noted chocolate which i added " dark bitter chocolate" Towards the end, it began to take on a slight liquor. I am often one to call this , but here it does not bother me. If I can remember correctly, the alc is clocked in at 14.5% I did not take notes at the table but it is very nice. I would consider buying a bottle and cellaring it for 3 to 5 years or decanting now for an hour. This has some stuffing to evolve and merit some pleasures at the table. This went so well with my duck breast and veg along with North African spices. good times

Juicy dark and peppery fruit. A big mouthful of fruit with more Syrah character that you usually get in CdR. Tannins are intense but approachable. Would like to try this next to a Clape CdR.

Deep purple. Medium + intense wine with aromas of blackberries, violets, dark raspberries, iron, blood, charcoal and thyme. Dry, high acidity, full body, high tannin, long finish, tastes of blackberries, herbs like thyme and burn wood.
Outstanding wine. Drinks well now, suitable for ageing.

Northern Rhone tasting (Utregs Wijnhuis, Utrecht, NL): Medium purple with medium+ intensity on the nose. Coffee, maggi, some lactic notes, black fruit, ham/cheese chips. On the palate black currant juice. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins with a medium finish. 100% destemmed, 12 months in old barriques
Sligthly disappointed, 2 bottles in the cellar to see how they will age

From vines planted in Ampuis, just outside of Cote Rotie, the wine shows a spicy, red berry, thyme, herb, and tangerine character on the nose and palate. Fresh, fruity, and already fun drink, you can enjoy this on release. Drink from 2022-2029.

The 2020 Côtes du Rhône from Jamet is showing beautifully, bursting with aromas of violets, blackberries, burnt sage and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, ample and sensual, with a sweet core of fruit, melting tannins and a broad finish, it's drinking very well out of the gates.

alcohol was too pronounced... tasted more southern rhone than anything else. For the price many other better options

Beautiful CdR. The syrah shines through on both nose and tongue. If we had more bottles we would keep a few years.
