Beginning to turn brick color and showing some age since last tasted. Strong strawberry jam aromas intertwined with oak flavours. Medium finish and lighter mouthfeel.

Pizza Night with Walt (Chris and Brig's House): nose of sweet, honey, stewed fruit, and mushroom. I took me a good half hour of repeadily whiffing the decanter to finally put the pieces together.
I would argue for extending the drinking windown on this wine, it's sitting in a very nice place right now.

A decent attempt to make a memorable wine. An almost crazy blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Viognier, Syrah, and Muscat Canelli. The result is a fruit forward, full bodied, but smooth mouth full of very good red wine. It just works. Dark color. All kinds of stuff going on with the nose. Big spicy black fruit with some currant. Hungarian oak. Balanced with enough tannin and acidity to hang with food, but also able to drink alone as a tasty beverage. Big strong finish. Unique.

i've been up and down on this wine, but last night the fruit and light vanilla were in perfect concert with dinner - grilled pumpkin swordfish with fruit salsa - think this wine is always about finding the right food to pair it with - on its own I think it's a bit flabby and obvious.

Opened a couple of hours prior and initially poured through a Vituri. On the nose it had bright raspberries, cherries and earthy cocoa. On the palate it has a good silky feel, and the raspberries and cherries continuing with a little brushy earthiness on a smooth finish. I was expecting a big in your face Cali blend but this was nicely balanced and restrained. It is not the most complex wine and it seemed to lack some acidity on the back end which might cause issues with some foods (i.e. not a real pizza wine!) so would suggest pairing with lighter foods lest it get dominated. Enjoyable drinker without any pretension of being a serious wine. Good Red for non-wine drinkers too IMHO.

Fruit forward, medium finish, dark berry front side. What I like about this wine is the mouth feel, Silky yet crisp. I "vinturi" this one right out of the bottle.

A very well made wine, and very pleasing in its style. Forthcoming smell of strawberry and raspberry. Smooth and pleasant taste albeit lacking some real character and depth. A wine that most people would like but not a wine for bigger analysis.

Nose: Cherry with sage, underbrush and earth. Palate: Pleasant bright red fruits but a bit one dimensional, a tad bitter, and quick on the finish. Too bad the palate doesn't live up to what the nose promises. Decently made but not worth the mid $20s retail price asked, and don't stare at the funky label too long or even an opthalmologist won't be able to help you. If you want Sangiovese go Italian. Way better interpretation and way better QPR.

Interesting nose with lots of perfumed, red fruit dancing about. Huge fruit on the front, but a bit uni-dimensional from there (never leaves the front palette). A medium bodied fruit bomb with limited complexity.

nose: a quality sangiovese nose(which has been a problem with new world sangioveses for me) of dark cherry, plum, chocolate, and a bit of earth too.
taste: nice plush feel with dark cherries, plum, chocolate, bits of tobbacco, and a bit of earth too
overall: this is a quality american sangiovese. More chianti in style then brunello, this isn't over fruited and is well balanced. Nice plush attack of dark cherry that gives way to a earthen+plum finish

I agree with the previous notes on this wine, but will add that I found that, while fruit forward, the oak, vanilla, and spice flavors would claw there way out behind all the ripe fruit every now and again, and made for an interesting blend of flavors. Still, it never "wowed" me, and to be honest if I wasn't Obsessive-Compulsive about Cellartracker, I probably would have forgotten about this wine already. Easy to drink and I would imagine this would be a hit at a party, but for the money, I'll pass on it.

Interesting... On the back label, the 5th line is "Call Me Crazy". Why read the back label? Because looking at the front label of this silly wine makes me dizzy and want to fall over. The CellarTracker pictures of the label don't do it justice. It is a tightly wound orange and yellow spiral that you could easily use to hypnotize your guests into thinking that this wine is really good. In all honesty, this rather simple Sangiovese blend isn't actually that bad. It is very fruity throughout and does have a nice texture and the addition of a splash of Viognier in the blend gives a bit of a floral element as well. While this wine would probably be a hit at your next bbq or pizza party, my biggest problem is the price. Retail is around $28. Call me crazy, but this would need to be priced at about half that number for me to buy it again.

Medium ruby color. Some pepper, vanilla and cherries on the nose. Medium body with nice tart fruit, cherries and some grip on the finish. Very enjoyable
