Wow this is really tasting special to my palate - yeasty, marzipan, carmalized honey - definitely a bit darker in color than younger champagne. The bubbles are still present but not as pervasive - the complexity of the wine unfolds itself in layers and is very enjoyable. A real treat to kick off an evening featuring '86 bdx.

There's something about old champagne that is just so festive and fun. This is a bit oxidized although the bubbles are still fairly fresh. A wine that is more darkened caramel (without the sweetness) and hints of smoke. Didn't get all that much as it was a hit in our house so bottle finished fast.

Purchased a few bottles from Vinfolio this year. I didn't see a tasting note but took the risk because of the producer.
The physical bottle was pristine. Color was fantastic - clear, polished brass yellow. Not a lot of bubbles if any. Fresh cut pineapple, toffee, and buttered toast on the nose. On the palate, golden delicious apple and orange pith. Medium-bodied. Delicious.

My Super Secret Surprise Birthday Celebration Extravaganza (Friends apt): What a pretty awesome way to start the day. Old bubbles! Who doesn't love those. This has that nice carmelization that comes with a bit of age. Hint of oxidation. Touch of toast. Really yummy!

Rich nose of brioche, nuts, yeast and citrus. Full rich mouth. Wonderful.

This was not good. Oxidized tastes with metallic notes at the end.
