Toasty oak, flowers, and cherries pop in the bouquet. The medium-bodied palate is soft creamy and cherry-filled with dark chocolate, mint and red berries in the finish. Drink from 2025-2042.

Purpurrot.

UGC 2021 Bordeaux (Vibiana, Los Angeles, CA): The nose is pretty and lifted with fresher tones of red berries, red currants, toasty notes, red cherries, raspberries, savory notes, fresh herbs, rose petals, and some spice box notes. This is a very attractive nose that shows off good depth and class that I find intriguing. The Medium bodied feel shows off the elegance of the nose along with crisp, medium acidity and silky, medium tannins. This does slightly lack on the mid-palate, but it feels like it has the ability to flesh out with age and add weight.

Union Des Grands Crus Bordeaux (New York City, NY, USA): This showed a lustrous bright garnet that caught my eye. High in Tannin and acidity though. There is some red fruit and blueberry that seems to show through a little more than some of the other Margaux's tasted today. Moderately long finish with licorice and cedar. A bit interesting and a reasonable value it seems to me.

En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Ribena with a little rhubarb over polished oak, sweet spice. It’s a little reticent on the nose. In the mouth it’s juicy and savoury, blackcurrant fruit is quite concentrated; obviously bled/saignee’d. Drying, chewy, savoury tannins close down the palate, fruit persists though with a little cream and oaky notes on the very long finish. Proves quite thick. Possibly a little too extracted/worked?

UGCB Amsterdam, walkaround tasting so just short notes.: Juicy red berries, round acidity and tannin and a pleasant dose of oak. Very ok wine.
