On the nose there is earth, a bit of oak, and dark jammy berries. The flavor on the palate is a bit grapey and jammy but still enjoyable. Full bodied and dry. ($13)

Popped and poured. Medium-plus ruby/purple. Nose of black fruits, a touch of currant, earth, and a hint of black pepper. Medium-plus body, nice concentration. On the palate, the fruit is obvious yet never overt, with flavors of black cherry, blueberry, currant, anise, and earth. Noticeable improvement with aeration, really hits a high note after a good two hours. Tannins are chewy and slightly astringent on the moderate finish. Great QPR, and has enough stuffing to improves over the short to mid-term, give it some air if opening now.

For the price I like it better than the Casillero del Diablo I just had. Overall, this is a great table wine. Full of jammy fruit and although it lacks complexity for the price the Crios label has yet to dissappoint. Very good QPR.

Interesting blend. Smooth tannins and rich fruit - blackberry, fig and spice on the palate with a hint of oak. Short finish, but nicely balanced. Not bad for the price and an easy drinker.

Obviously tastes vary, as I didn't find the overripe or discordant notes that some have written here. Ripe, juicy and fruity, with plum and rich red fruits... the juicy/fruity nature not unexpected given the Bonarda. On the other hand, this is not overripe and still retains a bit of structure. For me, this is dialed-down a notch from those jammy overripe wines, and is just fine. A bit of dustiness to the tannins, also, which I found pleasant.

Decent little Argentinian blend of two grapes not often sees blended together produced by Susana Balbo enjoyed last night at Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory NC for the annual Soup Nazi competition with Kim, good CT wine buddy neighborbill and spouse Debbie. Slightly discordant, maybe simply too young with need for further evolution, dark red. Interesting pungent nose of bright red fruit, primary flavors included red cherry, blueberry, tar and development of a hint of black pepper on the palate. Reasonable QPR at this very inexpensive price range.

Its the Bonarda, stupid. Or maybe the Syrah? No...its the fact that this is a blend that perhaps shouldn't be. Ok that's a bit harsh. But I found this wine incredibly discordant, with the pepperyiness of Syrah clashing uncomfortably with the sweetness of Bonarda. It just didn't work for me, and I found the blend too strange. Much prefer their wonderful Malbec and Rose of Malbec. I'll try this one again later and see if I like it better.

Bu cette fin de semaine comme vin de soirée, il a démontré de belles aptitudes. Pas asséchant, juste assez fruité avec un touche de bois et de vanille, je l'ai trouvé excellent pour le prix

A decent young wine. Nose of roses and cotton candy. Or maybe powdered sugar, but definitely something you'd find at one of those food booths at a carnival. Very juicy wine with perfect level of youthful tannin. Alcohol is well integrated. Good flavor from start to finish. Easy to drink, this is a gulping wine, not a sipping wine. I certainly liked it, but it's not too complex or interesting. Definitely one to bring to a party with both wine and non wine drinkers as it should please everyone to some degree.

Too big and no balance. The blend is just not my style. The blueberry flavors are too much. The wine is very medium bodied but has barely any finish at all. The finish is very creamy, but the wine has the overpowering flavor of overripe fruit. It is ok for the price, but this is just not my style of wine. I served it at cellar temperature, it actually was much better the closer to room temperature it got.

This is very ripe, and contains some RS which leads to a very tiring palate at the end of a glass. Some interesting flavors and aromas that come out, a touch of asphalt, some spices, but just a tad heavy handed.

The Sampler (Angel, London): Made from 50% Syrah and 50% Bonarda this wine has a light and fruity nose - blueberry, cinnamon and toasty oak. The palate is ripe and spicy - almost like mulled wine. A little full on!

Nose of crushed strawberries or blackberries. Tastes jammy. Like a really heavy jam. Little complexity.

great value, mint nose with ripe cherry and creamy vanilla finish. Lot's of fruit, decent acidity, nothing offputting for such an inexpensive wine.
well done.
