Translucent ruby color. At cellar temperature the nose is muted at first, but a little warming in the glass along with a few swirls helps the bouquet to unfold. Soft red raspberry, fresh cranberry, and strawberry on the nose, along with a subtle floral quality. I want the nose to sing, but it is a whisper. There is a hint of a cotton candy quality on the palate which incorporates the same notes. The finish goes a little tart, with raspberry and blood orange rind lingering longest. It's confusing me a little, but directionally I think I enjoy it. I do not understand how this rated so high with the Wine Spectator team, but its not bad either. It would be interesting to taste a few of the Resonance wines against a few of the Louis Jadot burgundies of the same vintage since they share the same ownership.

Blind Tasting of 8 Young Oregon Pinots: My #3, Group #3. Bright nose with slight yeast tones. Smooth with slightly sweet flavors, hints of vanilla. Salty, medium+ finish.

I've struggled with this winery and I have never enjoyed a bottle of Resonance over the last seven years. On night one this bottle was disjointed, tight, and with an odd effervescent texture. I decided to revisit on night three and it actually showed very well with considerable improvement. Bright, easily defined red fruit flavors of cranberry and cherry, were intermixed with light cedar spice (35% new french oak for 15 months). The effervescent texture has integrated into the body and the wines texture and tannin profile is on the silkier side.

Cork popped like a sparkling wine, when I pulled it. Likewise, it had a noticeable effervescence at first, which settled down but still indication the wine has issues. Also, was initially on the fruity…nearly sweet side, which likewise blew off. Altogether, it was a disappointing experience and so, I’d say this wine is a pass. Particularly since the other bottles we had, weren’t anything special. Not sure how it’s possible that this wine was amongst the top 10 Wine Spectator wines of the year.

Focused, showing strawberry, raspberry, bacon and spice. Medium bodied and bright acidity. Well done pinot noir with a sense of place. NI:4, FI:22, FC:8, B:3, L:4

Earlier bottles were a bit of a disappointment......not in an absolute sense, but in relation to a Pro Review of 94. This bottle was moving in the right direction. Elegant style.

Reassuring to see confused ppl about this bottle lol. Nose is quite good and pallete is balanced but minimal structure and short finish. High acid. Hard to understand the 2023 ranking

Purple color with pleasant floral nose. Medium body with noticeable legs. Raspberry/Blackberry in the finish. Very pleasant wine to drink now since tannins are well balanced. Tried to buy more immediately after tasting, but already sold out.
I’ve lost track of how many bottles I’ve purchased; how many I’ve drank and so, which bottle I’m on. I’ve drank at least 2 and am underwhelmed. The first, I recall as being varietally typical but nothing that had me thinking #9 wine of the year (a la WS). This most recent was likely flawed, as it had an effervescence that took a bit to blow off then, leaving the balance as a thin-ish, fruit forward non-offensive quaffer. Again, not anywhere near a candidate for WOTY. I’ll let the others settle down to see what they reveal in a year or so but am not holding my breath!

A very solid wine. A nose of cranberry and tea, with more than a little alcohol immediately after opening. It settled nicely with time to breathe, with more red fruit and wet stone on the palate. It’s well structured but with faint tannins. Personally feel this could use more time in the bottle to let those tertiary notes develop. If it pulls together over the next few years, it could be an excellent wine. For now, it offers good QPR as an enjoyable Pinot, but not a whole lot more.

I purchased this bottle for two reasons. One, it was a Wine Spectator top ten selection, and two, a wine shop near my job had a bottle of it. The 2021 Resonance is typical Willamette Pinot Noir. It is light, fruity, and smooth. I don't think that is a 94 point wine as the Spectator suggests. Is it worth $35 a bottle? Yes.

The nose offers damp earth and red plum aromas, balanced, satiny, balanced, refreshing acid, mid-weight, hints of blackberry, herbs and dark earth, a really nice representation of Willamette pinot noir, really has a French touch in style, drinking well already

Quintessential Willamette Valley nose. A dirty deep red nose. This is a much more masculine wine than what I expect from Oregon. It will very much appeal to Santa Barbara Pinot lovers. I would recommend a nice long decant to get the full ride on this complex wine.

Medium ruby/purple in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of spices, floral notes of violets & earthy/dusty notes, minerals & a slight touch of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present although it does have the potential for further development with additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (92+).

First bottle. This is a medium bodied PN. It delivers an "elegant" experience. It is not up to a Pro Ratiing of 94 right now. I sense it will improve with time.
