Served at cellar temperature with a 30 minute decant. Initially a trifle oxidised with some Sherry notes, however this seemed to blow off or settle down with some time. Very faded nose but a little more structure on the palate with some light red cherries and cocoa powder. Firmly on the downswing, drink up if you still have any.

Delicious pinot that seems to be just entering its drinking window - blueberry pie aromas, medium body with structure present and tannins resolving. On the palate, something slightly green/stemmy right at the front quickly fading to darker fruit and something earthy. The finish is somewhat short.

Everyone that follows me knows my tradition on Thanksgiving: Drink 10 year old Pinot. Drank this next to their 2006 Reserve and was surprised at how equal this wine was to that which completely speaks to how well made Tom and Eva make all of their wines year after year. Granted there is not much of a price difference ($12.00) but when you say "Reserve" you expect more. But this was absolutely as good as their reserve. Not disappointed as I love everything I open from them. Always.

My nose is weak but this broke through, wonderful black cherry, spiced only slightly. This was like drinking silk, sweet cherry jam, lingering finish. I probably drink more Dehlinger than anything else, so I believe that I can discern the different bottlings pretty well. Just had the 04 Estate a few days before, and, while lovely, it was a bit long in the tooth, kirsch. This Goldridge held up well overnight and it was bittersweet to finish it. Just spectacular.

Light garnet in color. 14.8% ABV. Red fruits, cloves, earth and minerals on the nose. Delicate and feminine with medium acidity. Bing cherries, forest floor, cola, flowers and spice on the palate. Atypical Dehlinger. It lacks the great texture I so adore in Dehlinger Pinot's. Charming and somewhat Burgundian. Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Light color, mineral on the nose, complex middle palate experience, fruit mixed with bright spice and flowers, moderate finish, a bit hot on the end. A light and thoughtful tasting, good with steelhead, enough acid to go through.

The third of three Dehlinger pinots in the tasting lineup, following the 2003 Dehlinger Estate and the 2004 Dehlinger Reserve. This was my least favorite of the three. It was a little rough and lacked some the of nuances of the prior bottles. Still enjoyable but it's helpful to do a little same-night comparisons. I still think that this could improve over the next 5 years.

Good bottle but balance off when paired with smoked filet and mushroom reduction. Wine's acidity was a tad overwhelming when paired with the food. It needs more fat to cut through the brightness. Nice spice and finish when consumed before the meal.

Still young but this wine shows a lot of promise. Glenn I suspect made sure it got plenty of air so the wine showed well. The two things that stood out for me on this wine were the Russian Russian spiciness and the finish. The spiciness on the nose added nice complexity to the tart red fruit flavor. Also, it had a tremendous finish. My Spidey senses tell me this is a finish that will only improve as the wine ages. This was a good wine now, especially with the sockeye salmon, but I suspect this will really come together well in three to five years.

I'd agree with recent characterizations of this bottle being a little disjointed. There's loads of pomegranate and sour cherry with some citrus, ample RRV spice, and tangy, lip-smacking acidity. This wine was opened (not decanted) and serially tasted over 2-3 hours. Light-to-medium red/garnet robe with garnet rim. Clean nose, showing nice aromas of Bing cherries, clove, mocha and cola. Light-to-medium-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity and light sweet tannins. The flavors are red cherry-dominated and quite pleasant. Decanted for an hour. The Russian River fruit penetrates the palate. I thought I was getting grapefruit, also very warm oak that is not overpowering. Still evolving in bottle and has a deep candied cherry integrated. A great pinot. 2012-2014 will be my last bottle drinking window.

Beautifully polished, deep ruby red. Super ripe strawberries and topsoil. Pleasantly devoid of heat given the sheer weight and concentration. Minerally, fine grained tannins and a touch of zing on the finish. I’d like a bit more acid and structure given its size, but the lack thereof makes it approachable now. This will no doubt develop additional complexity with another year in the bottle, but it’s uncharacteristically precocious for a Dehlinger. I wouldn’t lay these down TOO long.

It took a lot of swirling and patience to enjoy the aromatics. Restrained yet looking to get out. Nice pine smells. Big primary berry fruit. Not aggressive. The mid palate is a bit chubby. This certainly needs some time to settle down but not sure I would age it. Should shed some of the primary fruit and hit a nice stride with 2-3 more years on it.

Infanticide ... too young. Wait six months to a year.
