The wine has a great golden color and checks in at 14.8% ABV. Exquisite aromas of tropical fruits, lemon oil, minerals and vanilla. Rich and concentrated with a burst of acidity. The palate shows pineapple, lemon, apple, pear, slate and minerals. The finish is exceptionally long. Great showing. The Chardonnay program at Williams Selyem should not be overlooked. Drink over the next year or so.

Light wheat color. Nose exhibits oak, vanilla, toasted nuts. Palate gives way to notes that are mature. Toasted almond, hazelnut. Vanilla, oak. There is great acidity and minerality. Moderate long finish. Kept thinking this would go great with a plate full of cheese. Good stuff.

Drank within 90 mins of opening. Showed some ripe apple, pineapple and what I recall kind of a cocount macaroon, certainly coconut with a hint of acid to give it something to lift it. Would say ready to go.

a nose that could be taken for a white rhone. peach and citrus + green apple on the palate. acid on the lean side, understated profile. i liked it as a change of pace from the more full bodied competition.

Sits heavy in the glass with a classic chardonnay straw gold color and some visible sediment. Big oak on the nose. Orange peel, pineapple, medicinal, herbs and wet stone too. Holy cow, what a mouthful. Complex with many turns. Initial oak turns to pepper and frizz, then gets tart on finish, which is long and ends with hibiscus. Superb oak balance. Completely forgot about alcohol. Divine!

14.8% alcohol. Rocking bottle of this. Initially, plenty of oak on the nose. That blew off with some air. And left behind was a terrific, big-style of Chardonnay. Nose of apple, lemon oil, and minerals. In the mouth, rich and concentrated but with a really good linear sensibility on the palate. Bursting forth with fruit, minerals, and solid acidity. Long finish that has a slightly buttered popcorn note. A-/A

Developing nicely; typical cloudy golden color; great depth; nice combination of oak, melon and acid; great intense chard; lots of aging potential here (I like my WS chards with some age); unfortunately, this is my last bottle of the '05 Allen

Nice wine that is probably at its peak. Nose of honeysuckle, pineapple and other tropical fruits. Palate was not quite as lush as expected with moderate to more than moderate acidity. Still, I had this sense it was pushing ripeness. It went very well with lobster potstickers. Seem to find the same style in all of these W&S chards -- ripe and a touch oxidized. Better to drink these young. Overall, it was a nice wine enjoyed by all.

This wine (vineyard) had less going on than the WS '05 Heintz Chard. Nice wine nonetheless, just a simpler fruit/mineral/some wood Chard. Drink by early 2010.

Purchased on release from the winery, stored well since. Many years past its drinking window.

Still alive and tasting very good. Lively acidity, mellow flavors now, sort of woodsy on the palate, not oak, just forest notes.

Definitely not in the Kistler/Peter Michael style. Lean and acidic. Very food friendly wine. Lots of life left in it.

Really nice. Colin loved. Lush, great fruit, in a wonderful spot. Not too much oak, but some. Acidity was great. Would highly recommend.

A little uninspired, with not enough acidity to carry the day. 1/2 bottle left to try day 2. At Duck House.

A light straw yellow color. Has a touch of oak on the nose. A light, honeysuckle and pineapple profile. Short finish.

Nice color. Great big nose. Pallet a bit thin and astringent.
