excellent once again, everyone around the table really enjoyed it. beautiful aromatics, sappy red berries and minerals are lifted by well judged acidity (93-94)
had this again and would score it the same (94). it's an exceptional effort by Fourrier and i agree with the note below is better than some of his more renowned bottlings in 07. i think the 100 year old vines provided an extra layer of juice and succulence. has classic chambolle aromas and flavors, very red berried and floral.

Intoxicating Chambolle perfume. One taster remarks that it's quite boisterous. Loud and up front describes this wine well. Layers of red fruit held together by a seamless pillowy texture. This wine is pure pleasure. Once again, this wine is one of my favorite's of the 2007 vintage. This is in the zone right now and while it might change I'm not sure it will get better.

From mag (the only format it comes in)....brilliant bouquet, and textures are very finely rendered, classically Chambolle. Dark cherry and raspberry fruit profile, it’s got excellent energy and balance. Will last many more years, imo, glad to have a few more.

This is very good and *very* Fourrier. Out of magnum in Beaune, this is open-knit and airy, but with a step up in concentration from the baseline Gevrey and 1ers, and this approaches the CSJ. Bright and fragrant and very drinkable.

Dinner at Sebastian's (Barnes, London): From magnum. Browner and funkier than the other two and more obviously burgundy. I guessed Gevrey, but didn't spot it as Fourrier. In a lovely place right now, soft textured, gently earthy.

Domaine Fourrier Wine Dinner with Jean-Marie Fourrier (Nomi, Chicago): There is a lot going on in the nose of this wine including spice, sweet berries, and wild flowers. On the palate, there is a glossy dark berry fruit which attains concentration that is rare for the vintage. The finish lingers on the palate begging you to have another sip. This is stunning for the 2007 vintage and like other top 2007 wines is one for current drinking as there isn't a ton of stuffing. This is one of the best 07s I've tasted to date. Tom notes that this site borders Bonnes Marres and shares some of that greatness.

Mag from Jean-Marie Fourrier. Quite delicious and approachable now. Bright fruit, more red than dark as reported below, with a beautiful mouthfeel. Good length. A standout at a Paulée-style event with some serious reds and whites.
Wine with Friends (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): From magnum brought directly from the domaine. Lots of black berry aromas and flavors with a forward, slightly jammy character. Starting to mature early, best in the next 5 years. Don't think I've ever this wine before in any vintage.

Acker Merrall Bicentennial Gala (Cipriani Wall Street - New York NY): Late night, small glass, brief note. Lots of ripe red fruit with an intense old vine concentration and richness with minerally textures and very soft tannins. Good now.

From magnum: what a privilege to have this. More 3d than the Gruenchers, darker fruited, more structure and quite breathtakingly lovely.
