Starting to show its age and the fruit is slowly starting to fade and the secondary character is starting to emerge. A slight band aid flavor on the finish. Paired nicely with Duck Breast.

- Aromas of tea, bacon, cedar and dusty. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, raspberry and black pepper with a medium body. Polished texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours. This wine is ready now. Still some good spicy tannins on the finish, a truly great Cali Pinot.

Quite disappointed. This pushes too far where pinots can go. This is a fruit bomb. In no way elegant. If you like pinots that are as expressive as some light zinfandels, this is your wine.

rich and fruity, with raspberry compote and strawberry preserves in abundance. You get the idea -- fruit bomb! Not my style, as i prefer more food-friendly nuanced wines, but can't complain that this is not a well-made wine and it surely will please west coast fans.

very new wordlist, in a good sort of way. A bit over the top -- no one will ever call this elegant or subtle! Full of black cherry and strawberry preserves, it almost tastes sweet. Did they sneak in a little zinfandel???

Drank as part of a 2007, 2008 and 2008 La Neblina vertical. The worst of the set. Aroma was very promising but wine was thin - low on acid. Not very attractive.

This was the worst bottle of La Neblina I've ever had - yet one of the better California Pinot Noir I've ever had. That says a lot about how great La Neblina has been for me across a number of vintages and bottles. Usually it's a solid 92-94 for me but this one doesn't quite rise to that level. I don't know whether it's tired or just an off vintage. Don't get me wrong - this is an outstanding bottle of wine. It just falls slightly short of better vintages/bottlings or this wine. The core [delicious/amazing] flavor profile of La Neblina is here but one of its hallmarks is being free of off notes. This bottle showed occasional woodsiness I haven't seen before, and the next night (after resting under stopper) it went pretty far south. All in all, a very solid bottle of wine, but not up to the amazing standards set by other vintages/bottles of La Neblina. 90+ for me on this bottle.

The wine seemed a little closed. But, after swirling it in the glass for a while, I got cherry, raspberry, strawberry, a little cola, spice and oak. Decent balance and acid. Medium intensity and richness. Not nearly as good as the 2007. JMO.

Very good right now. This bottle seemed less evolved than I would have expected. It opened up nicely over a couple of hours, but initially it was a little muted. Will hold remaining bottle a few more years.

I'm not quite as enthusiastic about this wine as some of the other cellartrackers. The color was a muddy garnet. The nose was pleasant but a bit muted. The flavors were about the same, pleasant, not off-putting, medium red fruit but without either clarity, spark or any pronounced secondary flavors. Just ok to me.

I'm not sure why I always get suckered into buying California Pinot, but here we are again: Sweet, candy fruit. Not a lot of acid. Not too alcoholic but just way too sweet. Not my style.

Decanted for just over an hour before tasting. Medium purple core, watery rim. Beautiful fruity nose dominated by wild raspberries and strawberries, with hints of toffee, liquorice and spices lingering in the background. Silky smooth and viscous on the palate. Concentrated and extremely well balanced (14,4 % alcohol initially had me a bit worried, but can’t be felt at all). This was just a delicious wine – very accessible without compromising on quality. I have already placed an order for a few more bottles.

What a surprise. I wasn't expecting much, since I am more into Burgundy and Oregon pinots. However, this wine surprised. One of the better Cali pinots I have had in some time. Dark color. Big dark fruit and spice on the nose. Very well balanced with nice fruit, richness, silky and a nice finish with soft tannins. Very easy to drink now. There is not a lot of acid..I think I would enjoy now and not sure it will get better.

- Ruby color with medium forming legs and aromas of raspberry and violet. It's in total harmony and has flavours of raspberry with a medium body. Satin-Like texture with a medium finish - Decanted immediately before dinner, 8/30/2011. Our house go to Pinot for now.

nice bottle, a bit more stuffing than the 2007. what I like about this Pinot is that it is NOT over the top like so many others coming out of Ca. these days. Well balanced. Needs a lot of air now, but should improve over the next five years. Another good effort from Eric and RC.

- Purple color with slow forming legs and aromas of strawberry and raspberry. It's in total harmony and has flavours of raspberry and strawberry with a medium body. Fleshy texture with a medium finish - Double decanted. No residue, tasted great out of the bottle, so immediately rebottled. 4 hrs later, at River Oyster Bar drank beautifully, raspberry bouquet, silky, WHAT PINOT NOIR IS SUPPOSED TO TASTE LIKE!!!

14.4% alcohol. Dark red color. Somewhat brooding nose of black cherry and blackberry, with mineral and earth notes mixed in. In the mouth, it really hits you with a wallop of compelling fruit and spice. It's almost like biting into a cherry pie, which is always a compelling flavor profile for me. There's earth and baking spice and bright acidity to keep focus and interesting. Balanced and very pretty, this is just beautifully drinkable. A-

A medium garnet luxurious wine, impressive immediately on the nose with candy, cherries, elegant tea and spice leading to a long, rich smooth body that shows more red fruit, like raspberry. Complex and interesting. Feels substantial and meaningful in the mouth, great with food, but also a wine to sip while you ponder the problems of the world.

I opened this while cooking a last minute supper and found it to be immediately bracing and fresh, offering a complex mix of dark fruit, pepper, herbs, mountain wildflowers and saddle sweat (I'm thinking light sweet Palomino pony sweat, not Man-O-War funk). As it opened into a beautifully integrated, smooth and elegant wine, I was truly sorry that all I had to offer it with was leftover Thanksgiving turkey dug out of the freezer dredged in a makeshift thyme gravy, garlic mashed potatoes (good), roasted brussels sprouts (always good) and a truly unfortunate spicy roasted carrot dish. What a good sport this wine turned out to be! My dinner drew raves, probably because I opened my entire stash of this wine and over the course of the night we grew more and more impressed. So smooth, so integrated, so lush.
