1hr plus decant. Inky, purple color. Nose has oak, vanilla, blackberries, and tar on it. Very classic Napa Cab. Wine is medium plus depth but the alcohol is a little over bearing. After a glass or two it gets too hot and overwhelms the fruit and oak. Was very nice to start but my appeal faded as green elements began to appear. Definitely would benefit from more aging.

Very dark red color. Drank a glass plus over 2 hours. Brief note. This was somewhat tired with the fruit fading to the back ground and more of the wood and structure remaining.

This was a real treat. Great fruit-bright boysenberry in a medium weight wine. Very refined and a joy to drink. No decant needed and consistent on the second day.

14.9% abv. Dark ruby, very expressive aromas. Ripe plum, cassis and mint highlight an evolved, correct, but very mellow palate impression. Good depth and length, lacking a bit in flavor intensity. Enjoyable, but probably a bit past its prime.

Not as vibrant as the last bottle but still solid with good ripe fruit and and some restraint. I didn't get quite as strong herbal qualities this time. I remain a fan of these wines

Very pleasant wine with a touch of old world. Paired with filet, better with food, could somewhat stand on its own. Nice fruit, somewhat muted, smooth, nice finish.

Consumed over several days. Rich deep nose, maybe a little hot but shows spice, citrus, red fruits and maybe a touch of VA. Deep, lush and mouth coating palate, soft and pliant with a dose of fine tannins on the finish. In a good place with time to wait.

PnP. Deep red. Nose of sage, green pepper, and graphite. Initially this was a bit disjointed but then it smoothed out and had lovely young flavors. This really doesn't show much sign of age; I don't think I've ever had a Dehlinger which tasted "old". Lovely with steak, corn on the cob, and the Warriors win!

In a great spot now. Popped and poured. Tobacco, smoke, pine on the nose. Dark red fruit, berry, chocolate, tobacco on the palate. Well integrated, with good acidity and balance. Went well with my pasta and beef.

Decanted 90 minutes. Cherry black. Has a syrah style for a cab with bold deep fruit still with lots of backbone. In a few years may mellow into a more cab style.

Very good, riper then most dehlinger estate cabs, and a little more open for business than usual at this age. What you do get is the signature acidity that I've come to expect. Great nose of cigar box. This is good to go, and will be for the foreseeable future, though I don't see this as a long-term ager.

Elegant and refined, but with plenty of power and grip. Deep cassis fruit, tightly wond at first but yielding licorice, toasty oak and blueberries. Great QPR and should improve.

Very nice, dark, juicy cabernet fruit, restrained oak that allows the fruit to shine through (a real novelty in cab these days). Tannins are fine and moderate, this is obviously a cab made by a Pinot producer, which is what makes it so elegant and drinkable. Lovely wine, will age nicely for 6-8 years in my estimation, but can be drunk now with great pleasure.

Creamy vanilla oak, currants and cedar on the nose. Very new world. Rich, mouthfilling fruit, with some spice. A bit burly and one dimensional at this stage. Enjoyable and hedonistic. Long persistent finish with some drying but very pleasant.

Restrained aromas of earth, clay, black fruit and medicine. Soft mid-palate flavors with cassis, blueberry, oak and matchstick. Short finish at this stage. (Tasted at Dehlinger Open House)
