No specific notes as this was enjoyed with friends. The earthier funkier side of KB that took a minute to blow off. Worried it was a bad bottle but things self corrected. Not a favorite. Remeber liked it better when younger.

Gorgeous. Very perfumed, and the red berry fruits were still very fresh and vibrant. I wouldn't consider it cola. No hard edges whatsoever. Everything you would expect from a well aged Kosta Browne.

Garnet. Sweet cherries, cinnamon, cherry cola and some spice. Drinking well tonight! Took to a restaurant and went well with sweetbreads and multiple other dishes. This has matured into a really nice well balanced Pinot.

KB Amber Ridge seems to fade with age. This bottle was tired and hot like Madonna pre Sean Penn on the first go around. I was hoping for some secondary characteristics but just never got past papa don't preach. Note: did not decant but drank at cellar temp and over a few hours. Have a glass left and will note if any improvement tomorrow.

A very nice full bodied Pinot. We just popped and poured and although there is a little alcohol, the fruit is big enough to really enjoy now. I think this has a few years before it hits it's prime. Nice big cherries and some other dark fruits.

Popped and poured. Nice nose of black cherry, clove, sour cherry, and spicy oak. On the palate, full bodied with black cherry, clove, vanilla, sour cherry. Finish has good acids and decent grip. Still detect too much alcohol. Well made, just not my style.

Nothing to add to my 2012 note -- just chiming in a couple years later to say that it hasn't slipped an inch and is still putting on one hell of a show. Has to be in a peak window; enjoy now.

Bigger style of pinot with notes of plums and raspberries. Concentrated with a great nose. For the price, I would prefer the Sonoma Coast and Russian River bottlings which are just as good!

Drinking really nicely. Big Kosta Brown fruit and spice filled nose. All the flavors of Cherries and spices flowed into the mouth where they all burst into action. Really a great cocktail wine. Don't know if i would pair it with any food.

So good it almost stopped us from going out to dinner, all anyone in the group wanted to talk about was how good this Pinot Noir was, and did Publix carry it. Black cherries and cola, rich layers of flavor, a lingering finish.

PnP w/30 min decate. Clear, bright, med ruby/purple. For a thin vintage overall, this wine was exceptional. Usual big, classic BK nose/legs. Wonderful balance and integration. Typical KB flavor profile pf cola, red more than black fruit, not too ripe, big style. A wonderful effort, drinking nicely now thru 2016. Nothing off. $84 w/tax/shipping.

Needed some air to come together as it initially just showed strawberry funk/dirt which I see from the Santa Lucia highlands pinots with hints of slate and then some red cherry showed with further air. A well-made and tasty pinot that shows similar notes to the other wines from the '08 vintage. Enjoyed over 4 hours.
Amber Ridge is becoming my favorite KB single vineyard. I know it's not as popular as some of the others, but it just doesn't get any this. Drinking perfectly right now. Cherrycola in full bloom. Can't imagine this evoloving into anything better. Dan, if you could make a perfume out of this, I'd wear it.

Opened up with a trio of this KB PN, 07 Acacia Lone Tree Vineyard PN and 07 Hartford Court Lands End Vineyard PN. All were opened for 2 hours prior to tasting. Group was divided on which they preferred. The KB was described as "perfect" "elegant" "smooth" "sweet" "fruity." The Acacia was described as "crisp" "dry" "fruity" "peppery". The Hartford Court was described as "rich" "complex" "big" "spicey."
Feedback from The 6 tasters was that they enjoyed all of the wines, but liked the KB best, Hartford 2nd and Acacia 3rd. All thought the variation was quiet dramatic and interesting.

Chocolate-covered dried cranberry in nose. Cinnamon. Black cherry juice. Discernible alcohol. Mouth is overripe black cherry, rhubarb, cranberry & toast. Finish is quite toasty & vies with fruit for dominance. Good, not great.

Nose of berries, slight bell pepper and a tad bit of wood. A mix of both red and dark fruit on the palate. Nice structure. Not heavy like previous KB's. A nice 30 second finish to boot. Nice! 94pts

Nose of wild berry and mineral; rich texture gushing with plum and blueberry fruit. Doesn't have the complexity I was expecting for a wine with this sort of cachet, but its power, finish, and purity of fruit make for an incredible wine.

Big, slightly sour, cherry fruit with orange zest developing on the midpalate. A bit more heat than is necessary. Not my favorite of the '08 KB single vineyard wines, but it's certainly good.

Delicious from the onset, with a touch of apricot which I marked it down for. With air, the wine took on a bit more structure and became more classic, well defined KB. Will improve for a few years but delicious if fruity now.

Rich, sweet sour cherry flavors dominate this wonderful Pinot Noir. Silky smooth, a finish that lasts for 30+ seconds, this wine is yet another single vineyard success from Kosta Browne. Think this wine will only get better over the next few years. Allow for at least 30/45 minutes to decant.

Drank as part of a Pinot tasting at a local restaurant. Good structure, bold, ripe fruit with that characteristic bell-pepper nose. It grabs you right out of the gate as KB wines always do. This wine will be awesome with a few more years in the bottle, still a little young in my opinion.
