Clear garnet color with a pretty nose of cranberry and a hint of mushroom. The palate was taught but silky and light, showing mostly cranberry, a little spice and plenty of acidity. I noticed a touch of chocolate on the palate which I assume was oak, which was a little surprising to me as its not something I've encountered in a Burgundy before. Decent but not exciting finish. On its own this wine was more than drinkable but with food it came alive and really felt like a good QPR. Pretty backward still for a 2007 Bourgogne, definitely has the stuffing to keep evolving for a few years yet.

Drank at Buddakan in AC. Light cherry colored. Aromas of sour cherries, fresh herbs and broth. The palate is really tangy and light, dominated by cranberry and some pepper. A lighter style, quite restrained for a 2007.

thin, garnet with ripe vegetables off the nose dry, astringent, metallic undertones with a medium finish it improved as wine warmed up (was too cold) floral hints

Très bon. On doit carafer au moins une bonne heure pour avoir tout le goût en bouche. Aurait eu avantage a vieillir un peu, mais très satisfaisant. Un achat assuré.

Domaine Faiveley tasting with Erwan Faiveley: Cherries and chocolate. Mostly cote challonaise grapes. Somewhat tart on the palate. This is very driven by aromatics and the nose has a lot more to say than the mouth. Decent acidity, light wine. Maybe it needs to rest 2 years more?

Open two hours. Again, nose is light, but showing some green stems, bitter cranberries, some root vegetables, and some dried herbs. Mid-palate is also a bit green, but showing some tart red fruits (cranberry) and a bit of soil as well. Dryness builds rapidly, but not as much as the Pernot from the other night. Finish is bitter here as well, drying, and showing tart fruits. This drinks like it is... a very young Bourgogne; but I think this one has some balance. Overall very light on its feet. I'd love to check back in with it in a couple of years.

Ever so slightly corked to blur my judgement about the wine. Flaw was obvious after about five minutes.
