From jerry. Just open d and smells awesome. Menthol and bloody and really powerful smelling. And still hard edged on the palate. Lots of gumption there.

Lots of red berries. Crimsom color. Less fruit than expected and a bit more tart that expected as well. But a lovely glass particularly with food. This is one of the oregon Pinots which comes pretty close to true burgundy style.

Merry Christmas! What a wine to enjoy it with. Big, balanced, savory with a touch of dark red fruits and a long finish. Very polished. Excellent bottle.

My first bottle from this producer. I am impressed. Savory restrained but very focused red fruit and spice. Light-to-medium weight. Great balance. If this winery's SVD wines are an improvement over this, I think they would probably be among my favorite pinots ever.

Very nice pinot that has come along well since we tasted this in 2012. Complex mix of dark fruits and cherries with a woodsy-earthy undertone of cedar and sweet spices. Good acid and tannins still on the palate.

Big and bold for an Oregon Pinot but it works and is overall balanced. Bing cherry and vanilla smoky oak on the nose and palate. Very smooth tannins with a full warm mouth feel and long finish. Nice acidity at the end that seemed to rise with fruit softening as the bottle sat.

Bravo !

Classic subtle old world style. Clear, med light ruby in the glass. Nose is all classic burgundian Pinot. Subtle red berry, a bit of earth and leather all wonderfully integrated. Palate is med + acidity, med tannin with the experience very consistent with the nose and all well integrated. For those that find the funk of old world too much and the fruitiness of new world too Beaujolais then this is your wine.

An excellent wine that might be a few years away from showing its potential. There's a cranberry like component that comes to the fore that is really interesting. I'll enjoy this one again in four or five years.

- Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry, black pepper and vanilla. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry, raspberry, black pepper and vanilla with a medium body. Polished texture with a medium finish - Delicate Pinot showing a fine balance between new and old world styles. Enough fruit and earth to keep things in harmony. Great with food. Will drink well for 10+ years.

Visits to Cristom, St. Innocent, Johan, Argyle, Dobbes, Chehalem: This has 50% whole cluster fermentation. The aromas offer a nice balance of fruit. Pretty balanced, and seamless structure shown on the nose. The palate is quite soft, and dances with a pleasing strawberry component. Acid begins building a bit as it sits. Not quite enough oomph to really be exciting, though, as the flavors are overall pretty light. Nice acid is pretty intense and integrated on the finish. Not a lot else going on, though. Certainly better than the last two vintages of this.
