Mellow and comfortable. A touch of Ridge on the nose points us towards the Santa Cruz Cab rather than the merlot, but very much a familial resemblance. After an early dip in the decanter this pulls together and puts on some flesh. Smooth, blackcurrant, some mulberry and a touch of mocha. Fully ready, but no hurry ****

Had this with some grilled ribeye steaks. Cracked this opened with a few buddies and thoughly enjoyed it. A beautiful well knit grape. Very balanced with lots of elegant fruit raspberry and cherry. Very velvety and a pleasure to drink. Paul Draper has done an exceptional job and the time it had to age was greatly rewarding.
