Slight bricking at the edges. Red fruit and pepper nose. Palate starting to crack up. Drinkable, but past prime. Primary fruit fading and secondary character not really that interesting at this point. Either save for a long-time science experiment or drink up. Slow oxygenation might also help revive fruit (no decanting/oxygenation done on this one).

Tasting of 5 Phelps and 4 Opus One (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Tasting of 5 Phelps and 4 Opus, very rich fruit on the nose, slightly green stem and herbal, lovely Cabernet Sauvignon nose, medium/big body, tasty berry fruit, needs 2 years.

Pretty far gone. Not dead yet but limited fruit and consequently very little nose and taste was quite muted.

Very little left here which was disappointing. Off smell initially but that faded but not much fruit so was quite thin with little bouquet
