oaky and vanilla ; full bodied wine but not intensive . Berries and dark fruits ,perfect balance and harmony . Elegance and seduction of California Cabernet Sauvignon is second to none.

Can tell that this wine is very influenced by Bordeaux. It's still got some great fruit but also all of those more earthy sides to things. Good spice. Well balanced. It's a very easy wine to like. For some it was the favorite of the day.

Wine is intact...Cork pull smooth, maybe wine creep 15%...An hour decant...Cool menthol on the nose...1st glass, reserved, not giving much in the way of fruit but gravelly soil and Refined tannins...truth be told the wine became more comforting over the next 2hrs but can’t help think of the lost fruit that was present in previous bottles...As always an anniversary treat for us...

Acker Auction - November (JK's birthday) (Zuma in NYC): Great wine. Cork crumbled a bit when opened. Decanted. In the beginning just spectacular, but after about 5 hours it was more faded. Leather, cigar, hints of red fruit, very nice. Makes you crave a steak (some kobe was served later in the night and it was a spectacular pairing). Lots of spices. Some lavendar. Interesting wine. Much enjoyed.

Wasn't quite sure what to make of this wine given the drinking window and mixed reviews on some old Abreu, but I really enjoyed it. It seems to be in a good spot and prob in the right place to start drinking up. The fruit is a bit more faded (could also be because it was on the back of a more fruit forward Cali), but I thought that was nice because it opened up a broader palette. Poured through a Soiree, but no official decant. That seemed to work although a 30-45 minute decant prob not a bad idea as it was still opening up in the glass. Delicious.
