90's Dujac Grand Cru and 2007 Ramonet: Delicious and deep, but slightly more tannic/rustic than the 99 CSD and 99 CDLR served beside it in this blind flight.

Amazing floral perfume that soars from the glass alongside stemmy Dujac spice and earth. Super elegant on the palate with a lovely black fruit core and a spine of firm tannins and bright acidity keeping it fresh. This is really terrific, still some way from its peak but starting to come round.

45th Birthday Celebration (Chez Nanda): An epic Bonnes Mares that is still fairly young, dense and structure. I love how refined this is despite it's heft and scale. Classic Dujac stem and spice. A glass on day two was going strong.

"You only turn 45 once" (Chicago, IL): This definitely has that old Jacques Seysses Dujac spice nose, along with a really dense and heavy iron-like quality. It's a beast of a wine, showing lots of black fruit and more of that delicious spice on the palate. The tannins still have some way to go to fully resolve, but the rest of this wine is there and showing very well.

Didn't love this, not quite the precision or transparency of much older or recent vintages.
