Lemon colour. Fruity and floral nose with just a subtle hint of flint and burnt match. High acidity, full bodied, classic oak and butter, lightly toasted. Stone fruits. Slight warmth on the palate that is probably the vintage coming through. VO birthday from Chews.

A good colour and fresh nose of gunflint, peach, aniseed and lemon. It is rich and powerful in the mouth, layered with flavours. There's a light butteriness and plenty of intense orchard fruits. It has a low acid feel but finishes energetically with some citrus rind tang.

During a Paulee tasting and dinner so only brief impressions. Very closed at the beginning, compact, good, hidden aromas but very shy. Never really opened up. Let this rest for another 3-5 years.

Poured from Magnum. Young and fresh. Lots of flowers, citrus fruits and apples, waxy notes. Nice Having this depth of Grand Cru breed. Will further develop its richness with years to come.
What a great experience of enjoying this beautiful Bâtard-Montrachet by Oliver Leflaive! I'm glad both Leflaives maintain top class quality of their wines after the separation.
So stock up with these goodies if you can 😉

This was big and buttery. A little less balanced than when I had before. I really think this needs air and to be cooler.
