Fruity-oaky nose with citrus, yellow plum, some apple, some smoky character both from minerality and tasted oak. Rather full-bodied and viscous, with pear, citrus, yellow plum, good minerality and a long aftertaste. Drinks well, no indication of aging, 93 p.
This bottle was surprisingly young in style, less developed than my recollection from previous bottles from the same batch tasted since 2012. I kept some of it in the bottle (in a fridge) and it unfolded over several days.

93-95pts+

Pale, pristine, the palest green-gold colour. Discrete nose. Fine vanilla oak in the background. Fruit present but tight and only unravelling slowly. Concentrated, seamless palate. Nothing heavy. Just very fine and potentially still improving.yes this was a 2005!

White Burgundy Grand Cru (AuZone, Stockholm): Light yellow colour with discrete golden tinge. Nose of ripe yellow fruit, ripe citrus, some nectarine, tropical fruit, some honey, mineral. Powerful and noticeably elegant nose. Full-bodied and with ripe yellow fruit on the palate: yellow apple, citrus, some tropical fruit, rather high acidity, some mineral, slightly oily texture. Aftertaste with a hint of bitterness and alcohol, and a fresh finish with citrus. A lot of power, not fully mature, can develop more and become more integrated, 94+ p.

Munskänkarna, Brussels (Brussels): Lightly yellow color. An immediate attack of heavy minerals (to my liking) mixed with an oakiness that reminds me of another continent. Heavier on the palate than expected. It evolved well during the evening. To sum up, excellent minerals and pedigree but poor handling of the oak for my taste. Leave it another 3-5 years and it ought to pick up another 2-3 points.
