Medium to full body, transparent, brick-garnet colour, 14.5 abv. Intense but delicate aroma of ripe dark fruits, smoky oak, leather and flowers. Rounding, soft and tender palate of prune and currants following by lingering, juicy and fresh finish. Complex and rich but not too concentrated, high but well-hidden, absolutely not feeling alcohol, completely integrated tannins and gentle acidity, elegant and balanced wine. Food friendly, well paring to pappa al pomodoro soup and jake's gouda cheese. Serve 18ºC - 20ºC. Ready, open half an hour ahead. Drink now and the next 10/12 years.

In a good spot now. Served a little cool but this was interesting and light on its feet from the start. The 14.5%abv only really showed when it was too warm and after 3 hours or so of being open when it was beginning to fade.

Decanted for two hours back in the bottle for regular wine tasting group. While light in color it seemed to benefit from the decant. Tasted like a BdM, on the light side for flavor too but with some tannin still.

Drank on anniversary to just have a glass of wine. Drank with pasta and meat sauce. But also drank with almond crusted tilapia. Very light color, showing appearance of age. Pretty well balanced, but slightly high acidity. Smooth and very delicate. Medium to light bodied. Earthy, with red berries. I’d recommend.

An elegant brunello drinking beautifully now. Full of Tuscan cherries but nicely balanced with a hint of acidity and soft tannin suggesting this will age for a few more years.
