Two hour decant, wasn’t enough. Had a bite on the tongue for the first hour after decant. After that, really smoothed out and became the 93 that we scored it at.

One hour decant. Very very deep magenta color. Blackberry, black cherry, chocolate malt, orange rind, and wild strawberry on the nose. Dry, plush palate, with fine, prickly acidity and a note of coriander. Full, round tannins on the longish finish.
For whatever reason, I thoroughly enjoyed this Cabernet last night. It’s not overly complex, but it’s beautifully built and integrated.

Manursing Memorial; 5/27/2022-5/29/2022: After a several hour slow ox, the 2016 Turnbull Amoenus offered up moderately strong aromas of black fruit, cacao, and savory grilled herbs. On the palate, the "wild strawberry note" AGELVIS mentioned provided nice balance to the otherwise darker profile. The oak's now well integrated, the tannins are plump yet still pleasantly dry on the finish, and all that leaves me thinking that it's time to drink up now and over the next 7-10 years (though I am personally curious to see how this might evolve over the longer term).

Blackberry, cassis; powerful, fruitful, intense, but somewhat monolithic though still elegant and quite good; slow long finish
