A bit out of place in the lineup, but it worked well enough as a last minute contribution. A bit darker profile than I expected, with nice earthy undertones. Not yet at peak IMO.

One of two purchased from Chef Craig, popped and poured. Wonderful cherry and red berry fruit with a nice bit of typical Cameron funk in the background. Cherry, clay and earth qualities on the palate with a terrific finish driven by red fruit. Gorgeous. Has some time to go before reaching peak. 93+ pts.

2013 Post IPNC Tasting of 2004 OR Pinot (Matello Winery): Funky nose with some sulfur. I should have recognized this wine immediately but it wasn't nearly as funky as the 2000 I had just 24 hours prior. The palette was full of bright forward cherries and strawberries. Grenache-like almost. finishing with woody notes.

Post IPNC blind 2004 Oregon Pinot Noir tasting (Matello): Funky, campfire, baked cherry nose. There was something sticking out at me and once someone said "band-aids", I couldn't let it go. The palate starts nice, some sweet cherries with a bit of sun-dried tomato and green stems. The wine is nice on the palate with these flavors, good texture, nice integration and length in the finish. The nose knocked it down a peg for me.

A touch faded perhaps, but quite lovely. Drink now if you've got it.
