  • A particularly sweet version of Cameron pinot bouquet features maraschino cherry, kirsch, strawberry, cassis, clove, nutmeg, and fungal underbrush. Medium bodied with long, sweet, and delineated tannin and well-managed acid, the structure is somewhere between primary and secondary development. Flavors include sweet black cherry, mountain strawberry, clove, plum preserves, and toasted hazelnut. This is good but I’d bet on it being better in five years; it’s both five years too old and five years too young.

  • Great at opening. Went well with homemade lasagna! Delicious, balanced, wonderful. I think it is not likely a long keeper.

  • This wonderful PN was ready on opening. I expected it would die over the next two hours, but it just got better. Meatloaf, spinach, potato dinner complimented its great balance and depth well. What really surprised me was that it went extremely well with early strawberry shortcake and whipped cream. The tart but fruity berries greatly complemented the dry but very flavorful wine, without the bitterness I was expecting. Most surprising. I still have a couple of bottles left. I do not think it is a long keeper but is very delicious now.

  • Courtesy of GB. Textbook Cameron with gorgeous cherry fruit and a wonderful funky/earthy undertone. Nicely balanced; plenty of fruit. Long finish.

  • Definitely decant this now for at least an hour, preferably two. The nose opens with fresh red, blue and black fruit - plum, strawberry, muddled cherry and blackberry - that is satisfyingly accentuated by baking and mulled spices. Swirling the glass reveals solid funky aromas that add depth and intrigue. The body, which has significant depth and structure, is kept medium plus by juicy acid and refined, but still mellowing, tannin. With another 5-10 years of age, this will develop world class mouthfeel. Initial flavors include elegant cherry, salmonberry, vanilla, cardamom and velvet, but as you hold on to it, crunchy huckleberry emerges. This is as young as I'd want to drink this. I'll open my next bottle in 2021 or 2022.
