Lots of wines for a 25/50 Party (Lori & Mike's 25/50 Party): Wow, was this bottle drinking well. Even my wife who doesn't like Bojo thought this was good. Bought on release for about $15. Pnp. Ruby in color. The nose shows cherries, some cranberries and a bit of floral notes. On the palate, smooth and balanced. drinking really easily. Great cherry fruit with layers of complexity. great acidity. Wonderful texture. Glad to have a couple left, hope they all show this well.

I've never really caught on to this wine. It has always, to me, seemed fairly subdued and dull. There's a bit of crushed, bitter cherry fruit on the palate but that is pretty much all I get out of this wine. There is none of those flavors from the soil one finds in Lapierre and Foillard for example. Uninteresting at best.

(Domaine de Vissoux Beaujolais Cuvee Traditionnelle Vieiiles Vignes) This stuff was cracklin' right out of the bottle. And when I mean crackin' yes I mean high acidity. Definetly does not have the vibrant full-powered fruit of the 2005. This is leaner and meaner which I love. Bright red and sappy with a wonderful gaminess that became more prominent with air. Despite all that cracklin' acidity a roundness did develop on the palate. The tannins were ripe and sweet and really expanded like a fan as the wine breathed. Such a great honest expression of Gamay and a lovely wine to sip on.

Bit past prime, so thin and red but nice structure still
