  • Dinner at ITSPD (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, Paragon): Another lovely old Burg that seemed to be drinking at peak. The nose was richer, though less complex than that on the Richebourg, with an almost liquered drift of sweet cassis abd blueberry notes, some musky wilting flower scnets, and then earthy accents of earth, Morey spice and a bit of chalky mineral. Nice stuff. The palate was drinking beautifully too. Juicy, round and fleshy, it had luscious blueberry flavours seasoned with a little spice and a squeeze of lemony acidity that gave the wine a lovely freshness leading into an open, generous finish, with just another touch of spice mingling with the fruit. Delicious and drinking on point.
