  • Haut-Lieu dinner at Troquet. Quite. sweet of course, still young. Delicious. My only quibble is that I would have liked more acid, though must have had a lot to be as balanced as it was.

  • This was so far the best bottle of this wine I had. It is a spectacular wine with an unbelievably high complexity and precision. The older the wine gets the more complex it gets: this had many more layers than my first bottle 5 years ago. A year ago another bottle of this had the same complexity but less freshness and tension which made me question the longevity of the wine, today‘s bottle, however, was fresh like a daisy. No worries here.

TN: Medium- intense nose with honey, lemon, quince, herbs, nougat. Quite complex and well defined but not one of those absolutely magical aroma explosions you get with the best sweet wines. Much more intense on the palate with precise citrus, honey, nougat, quince, saffron aromas. Some more nutty aromas with and hints of white mushroom notes with time. Very balanced and harmonious, highly intense and precise. The texture is very slightly oily but perfectly balanced by a high but perfectly integrated acidity.

Decanting: Not decanted, good from the go. Drunk over several days with little change.

    Glass: Lehmann Grand Champagne

  • Surprisingly delicate nose of honey, passion fruit, and oranges. My first experience with Cuvee Constance and I expected this to be much sweeter. The palate was perfectly balanced and not at all cloying with great acidity and complex flavors of honey and melon. Long finish that lasts and lasts. Really great dessert wine!
