  Drunk over a couple of nights, stored under vacuvin. Fairly muted nose, hint of bramble and plum with some woody notes. Palate was more expressive. Darknsour cherries, plum, tobacco wood, licorice. Medium finish, medium body. Was a little grippy at first but settled down with some air. Very enjoyable.

  The first summer evening of the year (Ramsden): Decanted for an hour or so and benefited from it. Luscious, accessible, enjoyable. Great with the bbq beef rib.

  Nice colour, vibrant. Nose is quite intense, with dark fruit, dried herbs and dark licourice. Palate is juicy and balanced wit dry tannins and ripe balc fruit acidity, currant, dark cherry and plum fruit. Nice finish, although a little short. Taste is better than nose.

  Knowing Ornellaia's entry-level offering is nowhere near the level of their other wines, this was still quite an enjoyable drink.
  
  On the nose, dark pepper, cherries and thyme, along with some subtle modern notes - namely, cassis and vanilla. Quite appealing. In the mouth - round, soft tannins, just firm enough to hold the wine together, some tasty ripe fruit and a medium body.
  
  Quite a straightforward effort, no great complexity here obviously, but at age 7 - this is quite enjoyable and would probably pair well with a nice piece of red meat.
  
  87 points on the night. Drink now, as the structure won't support more than a year or two.
