  • The first tasting note explained everything. This is what Burgundy drinkers wish a Grenache can be. The 2021 vintage is low in abv, compared to other vintages I have tried, and hence more lifted and more translucent red fruit.

Curious how this will become in 5 yrs. Total <1000 bottles produced if I m not mistaken, glad I have more bottles to go.

  • The elation at (finally) encounter the world that is Juan Bulnes’ Bernabeleva - here in what surely must be one of the most underrated wines I have had in 2024, t Viña Bonita (v21, 13% ABV) - high-elevation old Garnacha vines showcasing what this grape can bring! Terrific, fully translucent shiny bright & light red in appearance. Precise, open nose w balsamic, deep scents of cranberries, raspberries, cherries, dried herbs, licorice, bunch of spice, leading to a pinpointed, m-bodied, juicy-dry, tannic-bitter close! To be served chilled, of course!
