Munskänkarna Göteborg Champagne Class, session 6 - Mature wines.
Sweet bread, Apricot-marmelade, nougat on the nose.
On the palate it turns out to be a full-bodied wine, very mature with more of sweet brioche, creamy and koncentrated. No mousse left at this stage. Still excellent if you like this old style!

This is a 40 year old Champagne. There is only a little fizz left and re color was light amber. On the palate the wine had searing acidity with a hint of Madeira but still drinkable with a hint of fusel oil. It is funky but still enjoyable in a strange way. It was the start of an all 1976 dinner 7 bottles of 1976 through a meal. Delightful.
