  Popped and poured thru Vinturi. Luscious fruit up front, but followed almost immediately by very dry, soft tannins. Unusual combination.

  This wine was really singing last night. Glorious! We had this and '07 Gorelli Le Potazzine BdM -- I was expecting the latter to be the winner, but this was the unanimous favorite. Should have at least 5 more years in the sweet spot.

  La Serena continues to SING! Really perfect upon opening and gets better with decant overnight. Great floral with limited sediment. Still has just enough juice to really enjoy. Great vino that will continue to age well.

  Red fruit is accented by tobacco and dried mushrooms. Good depth and texture. The nose has the classic brunello characteristics. Everything is in the right place. This wine has fives years of enjoyment left. Good juice.
