Had with prime rib Xmas dinner. Popped cork a few hours before dinner at which point we fully decanted. Delicious with food. Still has plenty of fruit, mellow tannin and some nice acid but it’s taken on a concentrated but nuanced quality. With a fatty, salty meat dish it provided a perfect complement, like a piquant cranberry / blackberry sauce. I do think it felt like it was fading a bit by the 3rd or 4th hour it was fully decanted but I think with food these are still great to drink! Would also be curious to drink as part of a tasting to assess it on its own merits

Opened about two hours prior to serving. First impression was a very strong menthol smell, along with dusty soil and black fruit. Very good texture and acidity still here too, wasn't super interesting to drink though. This may have been too young and therefore lacking in secondary flavors, the palate was quite primary with blackberry and cassis, oak, violets, and dusty black soil. Did end up pairing fairly well with dry aged ribeye.

Really nice aged Washington cab that's still drinking well with about an hour decant it really started to show up. Great dark fruit and color with a little sediment Would drink up soon since it's beyond most CT's drinking window but thought it has held up well.
