  • Perrot Minot Chambertin & Clos de Beze dinner: (A) Notably more floral than the Clos de Beze, with some note of berries too. It was fresh, silky and light on its feet, building up to a spicy finish.

  • One more bottle tasted. and again Perrot-Minot lacks a compelling personality compared to the top of Burgundy. It might well be that winemaking would make a difference here as the geography of the vineyards would tell a different story. Most if not all Perrot-Minot wines are correctly made and very pleasurable. But the wines lack the emotional depth, the wow factor. Like Bachelet, Duroche are some names that produce way more compelling wines here. For reference (but outside of Gevrey-Chambertin) personality wines would be Cecile Tremblay's wines and Emmanuel Rouget who you (at times) would recognize instantly. The Perrot-Minot is a correct wine from a famous vineyard.

  • Rather average but nice and 'correct' wine and rather typical for Perrot-Minot. No strong personality in the wine. no Wow factor. No justification for today's market price. A correct wine from a famous vineyard.
