Lemon and lime dominate the nose, there’s a little undertone of yeasty bread. Opens really fresh and zingy on the palate, there’s crunchy green apple and lime juice. Really pure flavours. Lots of zingy acidity. Great depth all the way through the palate - finishes with a lovely lemon curd flavour. Really liked this.

Sommelier pick at Pappas Steakhouse. A suggest pairing for a dozen oysters to start the evening. Consumed half the bottle and finished the rest at home the next day.
A very generous suggestion considering it was the last bottle and on the menu for $100. What an absolute gem of a suggestion. Mid body viscosity, balanced fruit with driving minerality. Zero experience with Australian Semillion. What an introduction!
Even better on day two. Still cruising.

At is years of age the wine's colour is developing with the last of the green hues slowly losing out to lemon yellows. Aromas are of lifted tahitian lime, as well as desirable beeswax and crusty bread notes. A fuller, richer palate structure with flavours of honey, lemon curd and toast abound. The increase in texture, almost oak-like character, is part of the magic of Hunter Semillon. Excellent acid structure completes an outstanding Hunter Valley Semillon that is at the peak of its power. I have never had this wine but have always enjoyed Aged HV Sem's. this one was stunning. Rich and oily in the mouth with lemon, gentle tropical fruit and long linear finish. A velvet underground of acid propping it up. And easy another 20 years in the cellar. Cracking wine and one to hunt down. And a perfect starter to the evenings frivolities. Thanks Jezzer

Sealed under screwcap, this has an inviting nose of lemon butter, mint, toast and dried herbs. It has a steely backbone and is starting to flesh out, showing intense citrus fruit flavours. It has great poise and cut and is thoroughly engaging and refreshing.
