Deep garnet colored, beautiful savory notes of dark berries, soft licorice and dried tobacco. Great complexity and an amazing overall balance. Very long finish. Fantastic Grenache blend which is in a lovely spot right now. Drink now until 2028. (IG)

Deep garnet in color with slight bricking edges. Nose of blackberries and hints of menthol, licorice, and leather. Tastes of blackberries, dark cherries, mocha, leather, and a slight minerality. Lovely balance, resolved tannins, and lingering finish. Drink well now, but should be in a good spot to drink over the next 4-6 years.

Weekly tasting group RWP #351; 2009 (@ VD): In the bouquet very ripe dark berries, vanilla and some celery impressions. On the palate dark berries, chocolate, some sweetness and bitterness. The fruits are very ripe and lush. Spreading though the mouth and a good length with some sweet soy in the finish. As I experience the wine tonight, it should be drunk soon and is not really for the long term. 92+?

Almost not even medium body. Rather disappointing - I had expected much more from this wine.

Priorat rocks! Superb smooth powerful red: blackberry, dried black fruit, plum, fig, coffee, graphite, full body, velvety long finish.
