Half. Pale to mid straw. Moderately dense. Nicely mineral and fresh with a lightly floral element. Lovely line. Nicely Coles with a silky to lightly velvety texture. Long and complex. Lovely. ****

A business lunch (Restaurant De Burgemeester *, Linschoten, Netherlands): Substantial colour; typical ripe and rich Prieur style, perfectly judged oak, a wonderful blend of Meursault weight and (some) Puligny steel and elegance, powerful palate, oaky finish. Impressive stuff, but not the most precise of wines.

A solid, classic Chardonnay. Medium bodied. Not very complex, but fresh and crisp with good acidity and minerality.
