It is a bit stern for a Volnay but there’s complexity. A touch of herbs in there. A lick of quality oak far in the background. Aromas are quite deep, black fruits, and savoury.Tannic too. I’m starting to think this wine needs more time, but I’m hesitant. Mystery at present. Drink when you’re in the mood for savoury burgundy.

Solid not wimpy but very dry, savoury. Wouldn’t pick it as Volnay.
Still Closed.
Getting there but still needs time to develop some 2ndry characteristics .
Still a bit closed - needs more time - beetroot on the nose with some spices but seems a bit shut down at present.
