Medium red. Nose smoke, tobacco, berries. Light body, cherry, berry flavours in good concentration for the light body. Acid is proper and the tannin is noticeable on the finish. This is drinking nicely, today.

Had higher hopes for this one, but found it in an awkward, closed phase and in need of time. Fine grained and detailed, with wisps of oak and berry fruit underneath but overall shut down and not showing much, even after a double decant. There’s a pretty wine here, but at this point it’s a hold.

This is not a common 1er cru in Volnay for me. it is adjacent to the Pommard,s Northern border.Drinking well now. Medium red in colour, good acidity, great sweetness with some dryness on the back of the palate from the tannins. Great intensity of dark fruit /sour cherry favours. Opens up and mellows on the palate as you finish the bottle. A refreshing wine.

Red and dark fruit, ripe and lively, some chalk and earth, but a stern, tannic finish. Great potential, but needs more time.
