  Consumed with rare grass fed steak and stuffed mushrooms. Splash decanted and consumed over a three or four hours. Dense and rich, though savoury, fruit on the nose. Blackberry fruit, a little peppery spice and quite thick on the palate. This is alcoholically warmer than I remember it and was popped in the fridge for 20 minutes to take the edge off. I suspect I've been drinking too much French stuff as this also felt a little clumsy and unwieldy as well.

  There is some bottle variability here as this is the 3rd bottle and all have been different experiences. It's a solid mid-range Aussie. Wouldn't mind drinking it again.

  Sandalwood, angel share smell in cellars, licorice, sweet port notes with subtle plum on the nose. Tannins are dense and pasty with a lively acidity and a bit fiery feel followed by stewed red fruits with toasted old oak notes at the medium finish. It has good vinificación and structure but the fruit takes on a second role.
