Deep purple colour. Violets and black currants on the nose. Intense taste of violets, black currants and blackberries with hints of spices. Rich and well balanced. Good length. Young, may be stored for 30-40 years. Fantastic potential.

A blueberry, boysenberry, and açaí fest (fresh, candied, syrup, smoothie, etc.) on the nose and palate. The berry fest is backed by a highly appealing liquid graphite suspension, medium plus acid, and stalwart grip. It is excellent now but needs time to come into its own. Pure pleasure. 93-95.

FTLOP Staff Tasting – 2008-2014 Ports (Sammamish, Washington): Extremely dark purple. Opaque with the slightest of lightening on the extreme edges. Blueberry and a touch of black currant on the nose. Pomegranate on the palate with a medium-long finish.

2015 Port Harvest Tour; 9/26/2015-10/3/2015 (Portugal): Extremely dark purple in color. Characteristic violets and floral notes on the nose, with some subtle hints of menthol. Blueberry and cassis on the palate. Way too young to score.
