Clear medium red some age is apparent. The dill is strong in this one, not lifted but very spicy dill notes, behind that is a bit of cassis and menthol. A wee bit thinner than one would expect in the mouth. Not the richness of a previous bottle.
Really good old wine though.

Bill's. The American oak jumped out but even then I didn't go straight to Australia because of the eucalyptus note among the tertiary berry fruits and iron. Always been a favorite Aussie, and it's notable that it always called itself syrah, not shiraz.

Had a history with this long ago, and tasting it again was a reunion with an old friend. Jammy blue fruit on nose and palate, compellingly rich and round with standout notes of boysenberry and blood. Excellent.

Light medium red, clear edges. Black pepper, cooked meat, blood, cherry and a hint of anise. Delicious meaty cherry flavours with a pepper note on the finish. A long dry tannic finish. Not a hint of over acidification.
I loved this one.

Fruity with a touch of eucalyptus, but with nice savoriness as well, it has aged extremely well and still has plenty of life left.
