Exceptional bottle. Perfectly mature with no oxidation. Beautifully balanced palate with creamy smoothness and nice acid. A real treat and one of the best 40+ year old champagnes I've had (especially from 750).

From magnum. Light pear and apple notes with underlying dusty soil and ginger tones. Still moderate spritz. Great bottle.

Acker's 1970's Holiday Champagne Dinner (Atera - 77 Worth Street in NYC): Man am I a Krug person. These are just awesome. This is like all spice and a bit more root stock or something more branch style (like a woodsy note). It's very tasty.

Bottle was beginning to show signs of oxidation but had the weight to carry it well. Long finish. 94-
