This is one big-ass Pinot. Very full body…you can chew it. Plenty of fruit here as well as pepper. Adequate acid balances it out. Paired well with brisket. This Pinot is so big I think it’s best with food. A little alcohol burn but not at all bad. It was a gift but I’d like to get a few bottles for my cellar.

Very pure fruit, but this is the archetype of the cherry cough syrup style of pinot noir with little acidity or complexity. It's made in a crowd-pleasing style, but it's 15.5% alcohol was definitely noticeable and caused a slight burn on the way down. I wonder how much of this is the signature of the vintage vs the winemaking style.

Full bodied Pinot with plum, blackberries, tea, and spices. Complex flavors and finish.

Robust Sonoma County Pinot with earthiness that went well with the mushroom pasta.
