Some BYO Wines at Noble Rot, Wellington: Brief note of a wine served double blind to me. A dark nose: black spices, dark cherries and other black fruit and some wet soil. Also lifted and perfumed with violets and other dark florals. Drinking beautifully. Austere and crystalline, I picked its 2006 character, but not it as a Fourrier. Very good. Drink soon though.

Double blind. Badly corked so I didn’t take a sip but apparently quite good on the palate.
