Still light yellow with a trace of green. Wow, so much pink grapefruit right out of the gate that it almost transports you to Sancerre. It also starts out atypically light and delicate for Les Clos. With air, though, more body appears along with some herbs and orange. What doesn't change is the beautiful underlying acidity and the long finish that is full of soil. In the end, amazingly fresh and nicely detailed, but it just doesn't have the extra oomph of the very best examples of this cru.
Game dinner with friends and 11 special wines.: Just a few general notes; chalky minerals, crustacean, tight and focused acidity, some nutty flavors. Still locked. Needs time to show its full complexity. Hope to taste again between 2020 and 2024. 92+ for tonight.
