No notes taken. Quite good with some substance, fine fruit and minerality, good mid palate weight, medium+ length finish. 92/93+pts today, maybe another decade will add more layers and a bit more drama, today it remains a bit boring but that is my feeling with almost all young Chablis. Maybe I‘m just not a Chablis guy.
Decanting: Open and ready from the go, no extensive decanting needed.

My first of 4 & a great kick off to our summer road trip at Planks Seafood in Omaha on our way to Estes Park Co / Rocky Mt Natl Park. As an aside Omaha has a great downtown warehouse district food scene & an amazing network of clean multi- lane freeways! A very nice city! My '19 Clos rocked & must have significantly improved from CT TNs last year. First sips left zero doubt we were drinking Grand Cru Chablis of the first order. This was sappy, intense and complex with all my beloved Chablis markers like minerality, salinity & abundant citrus and stone fruit. Absolutely regal and impossible not to finish. Planks earned a B tonight for food execution but still a solid backdrop for the Fevre and our 3 road weary travelers. A great Fevre lifts all boats so to speak :). 13.5% alc Delighted to have 3 more.

Practice Blind Papers with MW Students - Paper 1: (Tasted Blind) Light yellow with aromas of ripe golden apple, clementine, smoke and light toast. Fairly intense, the wine has an almost sweet nose. The entry is fabulously soft and juicy (at first, it all felt more Cote d’Or than chablis) but quickly is framed by a bracing, clean acid and notes of mineral, sea salt and oyster shell. Focussed wine, linear in shape, is tightly wound with good concentration morphing to a classic Chablis style. Very smart example with just a hint of creamy lees to keep it interesting.

Very good with our sushi. Flexible across multiple dishes and nigiri. Overall good expression of Chablis . Light minerality, decent acidity, well integrated oak, refreshing fruit: green apple, light stone fruit and grapefruit.

Citrus, white flowers, yellow apples, minerals and stone. Lovely long and nuanced finish. Starting to show some maturity, but still young.
