Nose of honey, grilled hazelnuts and nuts. In the mouth, grilled hazelnut flavours with slight toffee/buttery hints comes with a lot of mineral freshness hinting at the smokiness of flintstone. Aromas are once again pure and beautifully crafted. The wine does not show its age, no trace of oxydation. Finale long and beautiful

As the first courses arrived, we headed into the solo white of the night, the 1993 Roulot Meursault Tessons Clos de mon Plaisir. As expected, this wine lived up to its name. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous nose of fat almonds and lemons with a hint of nuttiness, a thick, slightly fat mouthfeel that held a core of minerality, and a finish that went on and on and on. This was another wine I went back to at the end of the evening and it was just as good as at the beginning.

Not showing as well as my last bottle. And it's funny, after the '01 Coche and '02 Lafon Perrieres, the difference in the hierarchy of the crus is more apparent than the substantial difference in the age of the wines. This doesn't really taste any older and is even the same complexion as the two Perrieres, it just seems almost stripped down in comparison. Still youthfully pure and crisp with a deeper brothiness on the back end, but it wouldn't be hard to pick this as the village wine of the three.

Great material, but bottle was slightly off. Possibly aging or bottle variation. Improved with air.
