Past its prime, lean, foursquare, medium-bodied wine displaying more secondary, earth and herbal notes than fruit, which is on the bright, crunchy, peppery, tart side.

Drink now. It still has some fruit Fresh prune and cassis with a stone and terroir aftertaste. It's lush and round when you open it, but does not improve with aeration, so drink within two hours.

Well well well. Just goes to show how much bottle variation you can get. This bottle didn't show it's age at all the wine was a fabulous purple with only the very slightest hint of orange at the rim. A full leathery, cigar box nose and a smooth well integrated mouthful with tannins smooth as silk. Medium finish. Classic claret but clearly some variation from bottle to bottle.

Way under appreciated, even if old.

Past its prime, or perhaps never hit its prime. But still, not bad fo a 25 year old wine.
