  Second Sunday Group: 2008 Ken Wright Pinots (Fontina’s Italian Kitchen (MiY)): Double blind. Opens with plummy, raisiny fruit. Flavors of spice and dark fruit. Soft tannins. Nice fruit, if just a little bit ripe and raisiny.

  Extremely flag rent and nice bouquet of clean classic Pinot. Acid minus and somewhat over the hill, yet well developed secondary flavors of Pinot with good concentration of fruit and alcohol balance. Medium finish.

  A Tale of Two Wines:
  Day 1 -- not at all remarkable, no depth, not too much fruit, a little sharp. I say to myself: "okay, that's how the cookie crumbles -- 30 beans down the drain"
  Day 3 -- half+ of the bottle was in fridge. Wow, What a delicious bottle. Clearly a Pinot, but not Burgundian -- more like something from NZ, which is fine with me. Smooth, but not bland, rich and perfectly balanced. If I had another I would open it and stick in the fridge for a day or two.

  This wasn't showing as well as previous bottles. Started out predominantly closed with earth, tea, and spice. Poured in decanter and it opened with some black fruits.
